All About
Parker P. Possum
A Lesson in Gratefulness

A Truly Special Children's Book

"Parker P. Possum" is not just any possum.  The "P" is for "Pygmy", a type of tiny and adorable possum whose ancestors hail from Australia and are not much bigger than a human thumb!  Parker solves life issues and imparts his sage wisdom to other animals many times his size.

The tale, told by Judy Highum using her lyrical storybook prose, jumps out at the reader along with high-impact light, shadows and full page color artwork from illustrator Caleb McBee.  The intricate artwork fills the pages with emotion, pulling young readers into Parker P Possum's tiny world!

In this book, "Parker P. Possum - A Lesson in Gratefulness", the squirrels are at it again - screaming at each other about whose house is better!  The woods will know no peace until this argument is resolved!  Parker P. Possum to the rescue!

Parker P. the Inventor

Parker P. Possum invents the things he needs for daily life and easily overcomes his tiny size.

Here you see his tree elevator made from cardboard, pencils, pens, a sponge, and other small items he has found near his home.

That's a Big Cup!

On some pages of the book, you may have trouble finding Parker P. because he is so small.  But look again!  He is there somewhere!

Here you see Parker P. Possum using a silly straw to drink from the huge chalice while he eats his last pea at the neighbor's party.
